Friends of Reed Park is inviting neighbors to mark your calendars and come out to Reed Park on Saturday, March 8th from 9AM – NOON!

  • WHO: Neighbors of Reed Park and Austin Parks Foundation (APF)
  • WHAT:  Friends of Reed Park (FORP) is hosting its annual SPRING CLEAN AND CLEAR Volunteer Day at Reed Park.  Specifically speaking, FORP, along with APF, is hosting a volunteer clearing and cleaning day to remove invasive trees/brush.  In addition, volunteers will be laying mulch around oak trees, and picking up trash along the creek.
  • WHEN:  Saturday, March 8th from 9AM – NOON
  • WHERE:  Reed Park – 2614 Pecos Street, Austin, TX 78703
  • WHY:  Our park needs our help!  Help us continue to clean and clear Reed Park so that we can elevate/improve its natural beauty and open up areas that have been previously overgrown and neglected.

If you plan on coming – please sign up using this link: Reed Park Spring Clean & Clear Day so I can keep a pulse on our RSVP list and plan accordingly.

Coffee, water, Tacodeli breakfast tacos, and work gloves will be provided for all attendees.  As for tools – we will provide a few wheelbarrows, loppers, shovels, and weed wackers, but please feel free to bring your own tools!!

**If you plan on bringing tools – please contact James Page (jameshollandpage@gmail.com) to let FORP know what you plan to bring so we can plan accordingly!**

Thank you so much for your help – look forward to seeing everyone on March 8th!

Thanks,
James Page
