    Retrofitting Suburban Spaces into Lively Places: Creating Neighborhoods and Districts We Love: Ellen Dunham-Jones, Professor of Architecture and Urban Design, Georgia Tech School of Architecture Ellen Dunham-Jones, an award-winning architect, author and professor will share a lecture on opportunities to redevelop low-density areas. Hear how strip malls, office parks and cul-de-sac subdivisions can become new downtowns, transit-oriented community centers and wetlands.You’ll have the opportunity to share how some of Austin’s gateways can be better designed to create community in an open-house following the lecture.
